• Born in 1964 and raised in West Hurley and Woodstock.
  • Parents Robert and Lynn Madsen Norwegian/Dutch family lines.

  • Pursued courses at UCCC focused on journalism and psychology.
  • Bought my home on Brewster St in 1991
  • Married and divorced – no kids.
  • Raised in a family of home builders, construction is in our blood. I continue to work in construction.
  • Participated in anti-nuke rallies in the 70s as child, equal rights rallies locally and NYC in the 80's and numerous LGBT Pride fund-raisers and marches throughout the 90's. I continue to raise funds and awareness for HIV/AIDS research locally and NYC to this day. Proud supporter of Planned Parenthood, United Way and the Queens Galley in Kingston.
  • Chaired and managed the Neighborhood Watch for Ward Nine in Kingston from 1998 – 2003
  • Conducted the second Kingston Library election process in 2001 in their newly formed taxing district and Board of Directors.
  • Elected to the Common Council in 2001.
  • Currently on Board of Directors for Hudson Valley Humanists
  • Currently member of the Kingston Chapter of NAACP
  • Participated in the formation of the HV LGBTQ Center and served on the Board of Directors for 18 months.
  • Stepped down to join the Sennett campaign for UC District Attorney in 2007
  • Co-Managed the Delarose campaign for NYS Senate in 2008
  • Created a start-up website and media company in Kingston and manage a daily Blog out of my office.
  • Continue to serve in my fourth term as Alderman for the Ninth Ward in the City of Kingston.
